My passion for helping to facilitate growth and change started at a very young age and has influenced my decisions in travel, study and work. My experiential background includes hospital-based play therapy, several educational settings, from early childhood education to alternative high school programs as a school counselor. Currently I work with individuals, couples and families. My work as an educator has guided the approach I take with groups and families, allowing for safe exploration in a structured environment.

I hold a Masters in School Counseling from Portland State University, where my coursework included human development, group counseling, diagnosis and assessment, and therapeutic skills. Additionally, I completed a certificate in Couples, Marriage and Family Therapy at Portland State University. I am licensed in the state of Oregon as a professional counselor through the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and I am licensed in the state of Oregon as a school counselor through the Teachers Standards and Practices Commission. I also am a certified Yoga CalmĀ® instructor.

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is vital to your growth and healing process, so I encourage you to follow your intuition about your counselor/client relationship being the right fit.
